Place du Planet ( renamed Place Flavier), the oldest and wealthiest quarter. This is where you can see the finest architectural remains, that date from the time when Nostradamus was alive. This small square, now the place du doctor Favier ( 1773-1862), benefactor to the poor, is the setting for the Hotel des Mistral de Mondragon, and before 1849, was known as the "place aux herbes" due to the market that was held there.

rue Hoche
His birthplace was a striking house in the town center, as we see it today in rue Hoche, is only a small part of the much larger house that was built against the ramparts in the 15th century. It had a tower and a magnificent fireplace with the arms of the Nostradamus family. All that remains today are a part of the front wall and a well-preserved mullion window.
