Tomb of Michel de Nostredame

Collegiale Saint-Laurent's first stone was laid on March 22nd 1344. The building collapsed at the beginning of the 15th century, due to invasions and earthquakes. It was rebuild in 1480. The church was visited by several crowned heads, including Francois 1th. Catherine de Medicis and Louis 14th who exclaimed "this is the most beautiful chapel in my kingdom!"

In 1791, Nostradamus'tomb,  in the church of the couvent des Cordeliers, was profaned by members of the national guard. The municipality had it transferred  to the chapelle de la Vierge, facing the main entry of the Church  Saint-Laurent, his permanent resting place.

Tomb of Nostradamus
Anne Ponsard, his wife wishes her husband happiness.

The epitaph written by his wife can still be seen today:

"To our good and great God. The remains of the most illustrious and unique Michel Nostradamus, in the view of all mortals, whose near divine pen could describe future events the world over from the influence of the stars."

On the occasion of the famed seer NOSTRADAMUS ' 500 th anniversary year 2003, I visited his tomb in the Church " Saint Laurent ' in SALON, France. It was an unforgettable, moving moment for me, presenting Nostradamus
his rediscovered DREAM BOOK, as my gift in his honor. A knowledge now forever preserved.
